you praise the Lord everybody amen amen we’re so honored to

have Pastor Johnson with us this morning Pastor Johnson could you stand up just amen amen amen thank you so much

for joining us this morning Mila’s uncle is here with us on the Sunday morning we’re so honored to have you whenever a

pastor honors us and Graces us we are so grateful because you could be at anybody’s church or no church you could

be on vacation and chilling but we thank God for you today we’re excited I want

to read a couple of scriptures I’m going to hand this off so um I want to jump right into the in New Living Translation

version of Genesis chapter number 49 beginning at verse

26 we had a good service praise team been on music department been on I heard

y’all in the audience they was in boy I heard somebody they was gone they was in

the spirit they was man I heard all kind of

tongues boy in the back I was like oo somebody back there somebody in the back section was

going in we going to get a camera on you next week no I’m just kidding I don’t they’re gonna be like don’t I ain’t saying

nothing it says New Living Translation may my father’s

blessings on you surpass the blessings of my

ancestors am I reading right okay I’m just making sure reaching to the heights

of the Eternal heels May these blessings rest on the head of Joseph who is a

prince among his brothers Benjamin is a ravenous wolf devouring his enemies in

the morning and dividing his plunder in the evening these are the 12 tribes of

Israel and this is what their father said as he told his sons goodbye he blessed each one of them with an

appropriate message but I want to go back to verse 27 Ben benjin is a

ravenous wolf devouring his enemies in the morning and dividing his plunder in

the evening uh just I just want I mean we got the name of the name of it is

Twilight but I just need you to push on somebody real quick tell them it’s time you

fed your desires not not all your desire now stop

tripping now if you came in with your spouse

that you might be prophesying to your night tonight but but it’s time to really go get that

thing right I’m excited about this because Genesis chapter 49 begins with

um Jacob who we know is Israel prophesying to his sons he sees his sons

and he speaks into their lives he says something about each and every one of them which would follow through into the

loins of of each son so that they were produced because remember all of

Israel’s Sons were the 12 tribes of Israel So within each one of his

sons were different divisions of a

country I I need you to catch that in each one of his sons just act

act like this the the 12 colonies right each one of his sons was a different

state and each one of his sons was a different type of people so you don’t know what’s in

me only the father knows what’s in us the father knows what’s in us he can

speak to what’s in us and Israel was speaking to what was in each one of his sons and then each one of his sons were

many nations and each one of of his sons were

many nations the potential was in each one of them I need you to look down your

row and I need you to just yell this word potential I mean down the road each way

down the road each way down the road cuz you see the devil made you think you

ain’t nothing he he tries to make you think there’s nothing good in you and there’s nothing good on a person next to

you but the devil is a liar God God has something in you the father knows that

there is something great now Point yourself there’s

greatness in here so it starts off with Israel

talking to all of his sons telling his sons who they are and speaking to them and I’m only going to stop with Benjamin

because Benjamin is the one I need to talk to because that’s the one I created the whole sermon around when he talks to Benjamin he says this about Benjamin he

says Benjamin is a ravenous wolf I need to stop there I need to stop there he didn’t say Benjamin is slightly hungry

he didn’t say Benjamin’s appetite was getting the best of him he said that Benjamin is like a ravenous

wolf can I tell you the reason why you’re not walking in your best is because you’re not hungry

enough the reason why you’re not dominating in your area is because

you’re too passive I need to talk to some hungry

folk I mean I mean when you real hungry for something you don’t take no for an

answer when you’re real hungry for something when you’re ravenous it’s almost an out of control

hunger I need you to be passionate about your purpose to the degree that you’re almost

uncontrollable when was the last time you felt that hungry about your purpose when was the last time you felt

that hungry about your business when was the last time I’m about to go in your house up your stairs when was

the last time you were that hungry about your

marriage so it needs to be all about the Benjamin this

morning Benjamin watch this he said he is a ravenous wol which talked about his

determination his character his hunger there was something in him

there’s got to be something better in you than what you’re producing you’re producing like you

ain’t hungry you go to work like you ain’t hungry you’re at your business like you

ain’t hungry you don’t study about your business you don’t study the trends you don’t study other businesses you don’t look for mentors you don’t look to be

coached up you just are trying to have a business stop lying to yourself you

ain’t hungry but I I want to talk to some folk that are

famished that they go to sleep thinking about their I mean dreaming before they

dream oh that was good when last when you dream before you

dreamed you daydreamed you just started thinking about what God put in you the greatness God placed in you the seed of

potential God put in you when was the last time you were hungry to get that seed out when was the last time you were

famished to walk in your purpose that you woke up in the middle

of the night turned over and grabbed your notebook and start writing notes about what God was talking to you

about it didn’t say he was ravenous at night it began it saids he was ravenous

in the morning stop I need I need you to understand hunger should drive you out

your laziness maybe the reason why you’re so

lazy is because you’re not hungry

anymore can I ask you a question who has ruined your

appetite what has ruined your appetite because you used to be

hungry you you couldn’t stop posting about your dreams and could not stop talking about what God was doing in you

now all of a sudden something happened did disappointment spoil your appetite

did the getting around the wrong people ruin your appetite cuz some people can

ruin your appetite they can make you not hungry anymore they can make you complacent they can make you

lazy but I need to I need to push on you to get you hungry again like a wolf I

mean Benjamin is a RAV not just any wolf but a ravenous wolf you know what wolves do when they

go after their prey they don’t just jump on them they purposefully chase them to exhaust

them they purposefully chase them to exhaust them why is that Pastor it’s

because they are strategic about their

plans they figure they figure if I can if I can wear you

out then you won’t put up a fight so in other words wolves aren’t just

hungry they’re smart wolves aren’t just smart they’re strategic wolves aren’t just smart and

strategic they have stamina because they can outrun everybody else um can I tell you that’s what your

problem is you can’t outrun nobody you get too tired too

soon at the first sense of struggle

you you’re running you’re running you’re running you’re running you’re running the first time of push

back it ain’t worth it I’m going back

home I ain’t that hungry oh but it says if you gonna be

like Benjamin you got to wake up

ravenous who was last you woke up hungry

I mean just woke up like man I cannot wait to get to my job or I can’t wait to

get to my business I can’t wait to start my day I can’t wait to go to class I can’t wait to get to

church me I wake up I like I can’t wait to get to the gym people you know I talk

you just talk about gym that’s that’s that’s my me time that helps build my longevity I I want to live in this life

another 53 years so I’m hungry when I get to the gym when I get to the gym I’m I’m doing

work I’m putting work in you know why because I’m not wasting my time we get to places where we’re

supposed to produce and we become

passive so if I’m like Benjamin I’m

waking up hungry but here’s what he does first he

says in the morning he devours his enemies he does not avoid

them he overcomes them in the morning when he starts his

day he is not afraid of the enemy I will not be afraid of the Arrows

by day or the Terrors by night when I wake

up I’m ready to fight the enemy I’m not ready I’m not trying to avoid him I’m not saying I hope the

devil don’t mess with me I I I wish a devil

would I mean when was I mean when you hungry you got a different attitude when you’re hungry about and

you you you’re about your business you wake up ready to fight you

like I wish somebody would try me today I mean he devours his enemies he

does not run away from his enemies he devours it because before he starts to

work he has to fight before he has to produce he has to fight some of you can relate to that how

many times you got up in the morning and you had to fight before you got to work fight for your marriage fight for

your household fight for your faith fight for your families fight for your mental health fight for your mental

stability fight for your fight for fight for your family before I even leave the house I’m

fighting I feel like Five Heartbeats I got to fight every night to prove my

love what you say to my wife I mean literally you have to if if

if you’re not ready to fight you’re not hungry if you turn over and and pull the

sheets over your face because you’re avoiding confronting the thing you need to conquer then you’re not

hungry cuz you can’t kill what you want confront

and you won’t confront it if you don’t believe you can overcome it he was a ravenous wolf he he’s like

listen if I got to be a lone wolf I’m okay with that if I got to run it down I’m okay

with that if I got to chase first thing in the morning I’m okay with that I’ll just

limber up stretch you know we get older they get stretch a little longer and then you got to go after it

I need you to look down that same aisle I need you to tell everybody down your aisle go get

it whatever that it is you got to go get it cuz it is not coming to you in these

days these days it is going to be the hungry that Devour the

enemies it’s the hungry the hungry that are not

intimidated by the enemy it is those hungry wolves that are not scared by the

enemy when I when I’m talking about confronting I’m talking about when was the last time you went into Warfare

before you left your house knowing that the enemy is assigned strategic

territorial demons to every area of your life familiar spirits around you to

seduce you and you don’t wake up and War before you walk out the door

you ain’t hungry you just playing with your food I’m tell you what my mom and dad

told me don’t play with your food eat it whatever you got to confront confront

it whatever you got to kill kill it whatever you got to devour

devour it whatever you got to confront don’t punk confront

cuz Benjamin his daddy told him that’s what he going to be like The Tribe of Benjamin they didn’t mind

fighting them jokers was ready to fight at the drop of a dime they were ready to

go I need to push on you you are too fragile to be

focused that was better than that y said amen you’re too fragile

to be focused because every time something happens to you you break apart and you can’t focus on what God

has given you to do the assignment he’s placed in your hand because every time somebody say boo to you you’re

[Music] crying you just don’t know you don’t know what I’m going through you’re not

the only one to go through and the enemy knows if he knows it he can shake you just by saying

anything to you he got you he already got the he already has the strategy

crafted he’s going to continue to send people in your life to say things to you to shake you because you’re too fragile

to be focused so when you wake up in the morning you’re fragile when you wake up

in the morning you looking at Facebook to see who said what about you you’re reading your text and you get

shook by a text message by somebody’s thumbs typing on their phone you’re shook by what they said

they didn’t even have the audacity to say it to your face they didn’t have the the guts to say it to your faith they

just s cuz most people will text you stuff they will never say to you in your

face cuz you can’t I can slap the phone I can’t slap you but I would you know if you said it to me in my face the way you

meant it on the text it’d be some slow singing and some flower

bringing am I talking anybody in the room

today so why do you let stuff shake you it’s because you lost your

appetite you allow somebody else to ruin your appetite me anybody who knows me knows I

can eat like for real like you sit me down at the table and you put food in front of

me if I was a betting man I bet that probably nobody in here God eat

me if I was a betman I don’t bet and people would say they like oh no no no

no no there’s a lot of people have been to dinner with me either you can’t out either

definitely you can’t eat faster than me and and depending on the day

depending on how hungry I am you can’t out eat me why cuz I grew up the four out of five

boys I had to fight every day to eat

food I had to make sure right I I had to eat it before nobody else I a you ain’t do nothing off my plate I’m eating all I

mean w three Whoppers big maet just give it to me I’m eating it all right because

I knew what it was like to compete for the food see see see see see see see see you

think that this is there so much food out there you could take your time and eat but there are other people out there

trying to hustle like you hustling and the reason why they are getting it and

you’re not is because they know that if they don’t get it somebody else will

they are Urgent about eating there is an urgency in their

hunger Hunger creates urgency when I’m hungry I will jump in my car I will text

my family at a stoplight on my way there and say what would you like cuz I’m on my way to get something to

eat I do that I all I call I say hey what y’all want to eat cuz I’m hungry I’m not going home to ask y’all

what y’all want to eat we not Happ no debates I’m hungry every

minute is an eternity when you hungry I’m not waiting on you I’m hungry

Benjamin he’s hungry we’re supposed to be like that

hungry like I’m not playing with you if all of the CEOs get up at 9 I’m

getting up at 8:45 cuz I need to beat people to the punch life is

competitive and and and telling you you have to be able to go get it and go get

it fast you can’t can’t wait you can’t procrastinate cuz we are a part of

procrastination too many of us live in a state of procrastination and we’ll put it

off but God says if you put off you’re not hungry if you’re not hungry I’m not GNA feed you because only they that

hunger and thirst shall be filled y’all ain’t talking back to me it is a prerequisite to even getting

filled from God you got to be hungry and thirsty Benjamin is hungry in the morning the

first thing he does is devour his enemies he overcomes his enemies before he goes out and gets the food he does

not eat before he fights he fights to work up an

appetite when he fights he devours his enemies and then I love this he divides

the spoils in the evening he works in the morning so in

the evening he can enjoy what he worked for some of you are working too

long because you’re not working efficiently if you were more efficient

and had a plan in your day fight the enemy produce bring home the spoils

enjoy them with my pack he divides the spoils in the

evening who’s he dividing it with his family so he can’t provide for his

family in the evening if he’s not fighting the enemy in the morning

can I tell you why most families are failing it’s because we got it mixed up we’re trying to eat in the morning

and fight our families in the

evening we’re eating with the enemy in the morning and we’re devouring our families in the

evening you’re enjoying the day but when you get home you’re defeating your

house but if we get it right if I get it right if I wake up in

the morning and I’m focused in the morning if I wake up in the morning and I’m praying in the morning if I wake up in the morning and I’m attacking the enemy in the morning I’m overcoming all

of my my doubts and my fears through prayer and meditation I’m getting myself up and I’m ready to walk and and ready

to win the day I command my day when I get out in my work I’m working it all through the day I’m working my faith and

I’m overcoming all of these obstacles so that I can produce and as I produce everything I produce I can bring home to

bless my

house but I can’t bless my house if I don’t do the work in the

Day Bible says a man don’t work he don’t eat see why do all the sisters know

that all the sisters know that script they don’t know other they know Jesus wept and man don’t work he don’t eat

pastor not in this house he got to

work you know that for your man but you don’t know that for your

son I feel like preaching today oh Lord

I don’t know yeah yeah yeah yeah I just I you

you you the L’s like he coming for the brothers today and then I I did that

swerve I swerve when I drive I swerved and got you

because that’s not what you train your sons you don’t train your sons a man

don’t work he don’t eat you train them as long as you live in my house baby that’s my

baby and that’s why you have crippled him because that’s your

baby a grown

baby because you haven’t taught him to be hungry in the day he never knows what it’s like to go

hungry cuz you’re always providing for him

Mama he got a wife now mama he he he has to provide for that

house why are you still shopping for him and he grown with a wife but you see it am I talking I’m not

fantasizing right this stuff happens right so Benjamin isn’t hungry because

Mommy feeding him but if mommy

ever takes Benjamin off

that’s why daddy and his son

fighting but if you teach him

to work while it is day if you teach

him to know what it’s like to be driven by hunger if you

teach that young black boy how to be driven even when people aren’t feeding

him he won’t walk into a society in a world that is not structured for him to succeed he will succeed even when the

system is against him because he’s too hungry to fail

yell I’m too hungry to fail say that I’m too hungry to

fail I’m too hungry to fail I I can’t give up because I know that if I wake up

in the morning and I’m hungry I can devour my enemies if I wake up in the morning and

I’m hungry I can gather the food for my family but if I over sleep I lose the

whole day say said I need to

move before it’s twilight the Bible

says work while it is day for the night

will come but no man can work while you have opportunity to be

great be great while you have the blood flowing through your veins be

great while you have the ideas fresh in your mind write them down be great be great now because when Twilight

comes and you’re in the latter part of your years you’re not going to be able to be as great as

quickly so when Benjamin daddy saw him he said I see greatness in you because you’re

hungry I see greatness in in you because you’re not going to let an enemy overcome you you’re going to always try to fight the enemy I see greatness in

you because you’re not going to avoid bringing the plunder home to your household you’re not going to neglect your household because you’re too busy

working you’re going to have balance you goingon to wake up hungry

and you go to bed full you wake up

hungry but when you go to bed you’re going to be full

you g to wake up hungry I I can I I I Pro I need to

prophesy to about 30 people in the room I I need you to receive this I need you to hear me I want God to stir you so

deep that when you wake up in the morning you can’t go back to

sleep I want God to stir you so deep that hunger pains are what wakes you not

an alarm cuz when when you wake up hungry man there nothing you can do I mean you

just got to get up it moves you it motivates you to get out the bed even when you don’t feel like it hunger makes

you move when you don’t want to move hunger makes you go when you don’t want

to go hunger makes you fight through sleep have you ever had a battle between sleep and hunger and sometimes sleep

wins and sometimes hunger wins if you’re hungry enough you can’t go to sleep I’m up I’m going to Coney Island

I’m going some place with Taco Bell I’m going to some place cuz I am too hungry to be

settled I’m too hungry to be

settled and until I feed the hunger there’s no time to

sleep so yeah I’m Team

Jacob because Jacob’s son is who I want to be like

I’m a wolf which is different than most movies right the wolf doesn’t appear

until night time the moon has to come out and the sun has to go down for the wolf to

appear right when they turn into the wolf I’m a wolf all day I ain’t got to wait for no lights to

go down I ain’t got to wait for nothing I am a wolf all day I’m not that kind of

wolf I’m I’m hungry like like a wolf I I want to get it done when I look at empty

chairs in our building it does not discouraging me it motivates me when I look at our church bank

account it might dishearten me some

days but it motivates me I was sitting with with my armor Bearer this morning I told him I said

listen we G to double cuz we got to I don’t I don’t I don’t receive anything

less than us doubling our attendance this year and doubling our finances this year I’m not settling for nothing else anything

else is substandard anything else is beneath my Hunger I’m hungry for souls to be saved I’m hungry for lives to be

changed I’m hungry for different that’s

right I’m hungry like a baby when a baby is hungry they let you know they cry

aloud I’m hungry for change when I left out of church just last Sunday I I I was

so distraught not because of what happened in here but what happened over by 8 Mile

in grasset and I put a post out there I

said listen the God’s been disturbing me and and I feel like some things got to change I’m I’m have several meetings

this week I had meetings this week we had a a rally um one of our partners had a rally here yesterday I was a part of

that rally yesterday I’m a part of a conversation on tomorrow I’m talking with our city officials I had lunch or

brunch with one of our city council people and I talked about this because this is important to me not another baby

should die at another block party nobody’s kids should be dying at

block parties nobody should be worrying about

where their kid is at 3:00 in the morning on a Saturday

night but nothing will change if we’re not hungry for change nothing will change if we just do another prayer

vigil how dare you say that Pastor Prayer

Changes Things prayer does not change things unless we put Faith with it if we’re just doing the mechanics of prayer

because that’s what we do that is our response but there is no action with it

faith without is so we don’t go to work to change our

communities faith without works is

dead you want to change your finances put the work in be

hungry next time they offer you a credit card be hungry enough to tear it

up next time you’re tempted to go to buy stuff that you know you can’t afford be hungry enough for the for your

inheritance for your children’s children to just say

be hungry enough be hungry

enough the next time somebody slides in your DMs and you want to have a great marriage be hungry enough to block

them be H I want more out of my marriage I’m not g to settle for

less you have to you have to demonstrate what your hunger is

if you’re really hungry for it it’ll change if you’re really desperate for

God to do it it’ll change if you’re really hungry to launch

a business this year you do your

research I challenged some my entrepreneurs I I was at uh I’m and I’m done after this I am promise

you I was at an event in June and we were talking about

entrepreneurism and I was seeing so many black millionaires Mega millionaires I was talking

with Christian black millionaires and I text some of my

entrepreneurs at our church I said listen I don’t care what you’re doing next year you need to be at this place and people say well why you doing

it you just promote it because that’s your bit I said no I’m not promoting because it’s my Bishops I’m promoting it because you only be what you

see and if you’re only around broke

Ninjas the bar is too low for you to be great you’re not going to be an Olympic

high jumper if all of the bars are two feet off the ground if you’re never

challenged the bar is not raised You’ll Never Walk In Your Divine

Purpose so today make up in your

mind if you going to live life with a ruined

appetite or if you’re going to be hungry for more do you

want more or will you settle for

less will you eat enough just to survive or will you eat to the full to

the over flows for me I’m too hungry for greatness to

settle for mediocrity I’m too hungry for great to settle for

good good is the enemy of great the thing the thing that stops you

from being great is because you’re good you’ll never be great when you’re good when you when you just like good

you’ll never be great but today

today you can make the change today you can say God just renew

my Hunger my

passion renew my Hunger so that if I Delight myself in the Lord he will give

me the desires of my [Music]

heart if I just if I’m just hungry again if I’m hungry for your word god

you will give me your word distinctively specifically and I’ll hear you even

more when I’m hungry to God my my senses are tuned so I’m hearing him

better what are you hearing what’s clogging up your ears

what is ruining your appetite and whatever it is I dare you to remove it from the table whoever keeps coming against your

faith in your life put them on block for 30 days see how much see how how much of

an advantage you’ll have with 30 days of just blocking them I just I just spoke to somebody I I literally just gave you

something that you can do today there are some people in your life

that are ruining your appetite for greatness that every time you get back around them you start drinking and smoking again you start lying and

cheating again but can you block them for 30 days can you just block them I listen you can

bring them back if you need to after 30 days if you need to if you really need to but I dare you to do that fast

because if you fast them you’ll be hungry fasting them should create a new Hunger in

you can you.
